Principal's Update October 9th

Now that we are feeling a little more settled, I would like to welcome our school community to the 2020-21 school year! I find myself reflecting on the first month of instruction of this new school year! We had a different start to the year with several new routines required to maintain the health and safety of our staff and students. We continue to practice all our new routines while getting used to our staggered nutrition break and lunch schedule. These changes come because of our commitment to ensure the health and safety of our school community. We must acknowledge that our students will need different levels of support at different parts of this year. Our school plan looks to build the social emotional learning of all our students using deliberate strategies that enable them to grow.

I am proud of the resilience our students and staff have shown. After a tough spring and a long summer, I was worried that the school routine would be hard for our students. While we did experience some challenges, I am impressed with how our students and families handled them.

Thank you for the work you do day in and day out with each of your children. As a staff, we look forward to working in partnership with you to best support the unique needs of your children this school year. To that end, please use the contact information through this link, to get in touch with your child's classroom teacher or the office staff.

Daily Health Assessment Required Everyday:  We ask for your assistance in completing the Daily Health Assessment for each of your children, every day.  Your child will not be admitted to the school if you have not completed the assessment and, health and safety protocol dictates, the child will be sent home if it is not done.  The QR code to access the assessment is located on our website and attached to this letter.  It only takes a minute to complete.  Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation in this matter.
